Black Laundry
There’s a point where backing the AB’s just get’s too easy, and suddenly the fans are watching other sports. In a crisis of support we didn’t give more, we asked more. (OK we gave out a few beers.)
The Black Laundry was a laundromat/bar that invited fans to ‘colour themselves loyal’ by sacrificing the shirt on their back, to be black.
Once inside, fans handed over their item of clothing to be taken away via a functioning dry-cleaning rack for dying, drying and embroidering. All while they drank a beer amongst the washing machines, industrial dryers and big screens playing the World Cup games.
